FAQs on Enlightenment (Part 2)

Disclaimer: I write this article fully aware of the limitations of the human language. The human language is not used for the enlightened ones to describe anything, but since we are living in this world, I will have to use language. For instance, when I say “I”, the “I” is no longer here, and there is no more identification with the “I”, so even if I say “I’m enlightened”, the “I” is actually not here. When I say “I want” or “I don’t want”, it’s not a personal desire. When I say “I need to” is not a personal need. When the “I” is not here, nothing is personal here.

FAQs on Enlightenment and Common Misunderstandings on Enlightenment

In this article I talk about perhaps the frequently asked questions on enlightenment and some misunderstandings on enlightened people: 1) How do you know for sure if someone is enlightened? The answer is you need to become enlightened yourself. Don't make judgements or assumptions so easily on whether you think this person is enlightened or not. One knows when one is here. When you are enlightened, you know instantly who's also here.

How I Became Enlightened and Life after Enlightenment

22 Oct 2018. This is the date I became enlightened. This is the date I’ve arrived. It happened to me in the morning, perhaps around 10-11am, I couldn’t remember exactly the time and it is not important. I just knew it happened. When enlightenment happened to you, you cannot miss it. When the self has completely dissolved, when all chatters in the mind has completely stopped, when your reality shifted instantly and when you merge into Oneness with all existence, when you no longer identify with the body, mind and anything else. This is not a small event.

Vigyan Bhairav Tantra (Verses 1 - 12)

Vigyan Bhairav Tantra is the classic text of Tantra which detailed 112 ways of meditation. It is a poetic conversation between Devi (Shakti) and Bhairava (Shiva), in which Devi asks and Shiva answers. Devi is the Creative Energy permeating the universe. Her nature is power, strength, and might. Bhairava is the infinite consciousness that embraces her.

The Paradox of "Seeking Enlightenment"

Enlightenment is our natural state, we are all born enlightenment, we are all born as Divine beings with unconditional love to existence. However, as we grow up, society and people keep putting into ideas into our minds and our minds keep growing complex, which obscures the purity of our consciousness and we became “dis-enlightened” through the process.

My Beyond Powerful Ayahuasca Experience in the Amazon Jungle

Here I am, lying on my bed in Melbourne, staring at the ceiling and also the oversized mandala tapestry hanging on my wall, gazing into a mystical state, seeing the patterns of the mandala starts moving, circling and expanding, seeing visions, waves of energy, with icaros (South American indigenous medicine songs) playing in the background, like I'm again on a psychedelic trip, except with time with no intake of anything.

The Importance of Bramacharya in Tantra

Thoughts on Spiritual purity. Sexual continence. Brahmacharya and Enlightenment. More and more recently, I found sex has lost its grip on me, particularly after my ayahuasca experience in the Amazon jungle (I will write an article about this). I haven't had sex for a few months and now I feel there is no desire for sex, not even the desire for so-called sacred sexuality.

Tao Te Ching (16)

Tao Te Ching is one of my favourite sacred texts, together with the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra and other sacred texts. Here I like to share one of my favourite verses from Tao Te Ching.  If you can empty your mind of all thoughts, your heart will know the tranquility of peace. Watch the endless rush of worldly beings, yet contemplate their return to the Source.

Living a Day Like a Cat (The Wisdom of Cats)

This morning I woke up falling into a mystical state. Sometimes moments like this happen to me, more and more often as I dwell deeper into the present. I was just lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, and also the beautiful mandala tapestry hanging on my wall, feeling tremendously peaceful and content in the moment, a state that can't be really described in words nor comprehended by the mind alone. Feeling the sensation in my body, the rhythmic rise and fall of my belly,  my chest as I inhale and exhale.

How Tantra Makes Me Monogamous

For a very long time, I was very skeptical about monogamy. I did not think it would work. In my early twenties, I had two monogamous relationships and both failed disastrously, that was before my awakening, and I was just living like a "conventional person" in a conventional society, studying at university, hopefully looking for a job after, perhaps getting married one day, doing what everybody else was doing.
